WINDING CONNECTIONS: Tapping and phase leads run in paper covered conductors. Sufficient barriers are used to detach the phase leads from the tapping. Severely brazed tubes are used to preserve the required clearance from coil to tank.
LV Leads, larger in cross-section, are generally strong and tough, where needed supports are provided.
INSULATION AND IMPREGNATION
The major ingredient of insulation is padding pre-compacted pressboard. The element like ring ducts merged spacer; blocks etc. are put under pressing along with the coil assembly for preshrinking. The irrelevant improvement in dimension after the preshrinking is pleased by providing additional insulation. This diminishes the probability if loops getting loose during process and also reduces the breakdown due to short circuit forces.
SHORT CIRCUIT CAPABILITY
In the order to avoid deformation under short-circuit forces; solid insulation end block and ring are used. Winding are squashed under top and bottom clamping members with the assistance of tie rods. The axial end thrust under erroneous conditions is reduced by the suitable balance of the ampere-turns over the span of windings. In case of larger transformer, the HV tapping leads are moved out from two positions to equilibrium the short-circuit forces in a much enhanced way.
TANK CONSTRUCTION
All tanks are fabricated from mild steel sheet of sufficient thickness with ridged wall panel type radiators of hard-pressed steel fin/cooling tube for heat indulgence.
All tanks are verified by magnaflux, ultraviolet ray die piercing system to guarantee that there is completely no seepage from any part of the tank.
QUALITY FINISH THROUGH USE OF SHOT BLASTING TECHNOLOGY
Tanks are shot blasted to eliminate mill and welding scale and then a basic-coverage coat is instantly applied to the external to eradicate oxidation creation.
After priming, all tanks obtain a coat of transitional paint and after pressure testing; they receive a ultimate coat of high gloss paint applied by spray. This guarantees high coverage serving to battle oxidization in unreachable place.
